I. General Objectives

By the end of this level, the participant will be able to:

  1. Communicate in simple everyday situations using familiar words and phrases.
  2. Understand basic expressions related to daily life such as greetings, introductions, time, shopping, and food.
  3. Introduce themselves and others, and ask and answer simple questions about personal information (name, nationality, occupation, place, etc.).
  4. Use basic grammatical structures to form correct and understandable sentences.
  5. Read and comprehend short, simple texts.
  6. Write basic words and simple sentences using Chinese characters .
  7. Improve pronunciation and tone accuracy (Chinese tones) in essential vocabulary.

Module 1: Greetings and Basic Communication

  • Using greetings and self-introduction expressions.
  • Asking about names, nationalities, and professions.
  • Using common daily expressions in social interactions.

Module 2: Numbers, Time, and Dates

  • Learning Chinese numbers and correct pronunciation.

  • Using expressions related to appointments and daily schedules.

Module 3: Daily Life Situations

  • Talking about food, drinks, shopping, and transportation.
  • Describing simple daily routines.
  • Interacting in real-life situations such as ordering food or buying items.

Module 4: Basic Vocabulary and Grammar

  • Learning essential vocabulary related to family, work, and places.
  • Using pronouns and question words .
  • Understanding the basic Chinese sentence structure (Subject + Verb + Object).

Module 5: Listening and Speaking

  • Listening to short, clear conversations.
  • Practicing pronunciation and tone accuracy.
  • Engaging in short, simple dialogues.

Module 6: Reading and Writing

  • Reading short texts such as signs, menus, and cards.
  • Recognizing and correctly writing basic Chinese characters.
