I. General Objectives

By the end of this level, the participant will be able to:

  1. Communicate effectively and spontaneously on familiar and abstract topics.
  2. Understand the main ideas of complex texts, including discussions on both concrete and conceptual issues.
  3. Use the Chinese language flexibly and appropriately in social, academic, and professional settings.
  4. Produce clear, detailed speech and writing on a wide range of subjects.
  5. Express opinions, arguments, and viewpoints using accurate grammar and varied vocabulary.
  6. Deepen understanding of Chinese culture and apply it appropriately in communication.

Module 1: Functional and Interactive Communication

  • Participating in conversations on personal, social, and professional topics.

Module 4: Speaking and Pronunciation Practice

  • Engaging in structured discussions and expressing opinions clearly.
  • Delivering short presentations and summaries on familiar topics.
  • Improving pronunciation accuracy and tonal control.

Module 5: Reading for Understanding and Analysis

  • Reading a variety of texts such as articles, essays, and short stories.
  • Identifying the structure, argument, and main message of the text.
  • Recognizing stylistic differences in formal and informal writing.

Module 6: Writing for Communication

  • Writing connected and well-organized paragraphs and short essays.
  • Expressing arguments and supporting ideas with examples.
  • Practicing formal and informal writing styles (emails, summaries, reports).
