The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a standardized English proficiency test for non-native speakers wishing to study, work, or migrate to English-speaking countries.
It assesses listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills through two versions:
- Academic (for higher education or professional registration)
- General Training (for non-academic training or immigration)
Managed by the British Council, IDP:
- IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English,
- IELTS is scored on a 9-band scale, reflecting a range from non-user to expert level.
- Accepted globally, IELTS is renowned for its reliability and is a key benchmark in English language testing
The test includes four modules:
- Listening (30 minutes),
- Reading (60 minutes),
- Writing (60 minutes),
- Speaking (11-14 minutes)—totaling approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes.

🟩 II. Main Modules of the Course
Module 1: Introduction to the IELTS Test
- Overview of the IELTS test and its importance for academic, migration, and professional purposes.
- Differences between IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
- Understanding the Band Score system and how scores are calculated.
- General tips for registration and test day preparation.
Module 2: Listening Skills
- Overview of the four sections in the Listening test.
- Strategies for maintaining focus and concentration.
- Effective note-taking techniques.
- Practice on identifying correct answers through a variety of exercises.
Module 3: Reading Skills
- Types of academic and general reading texts in the test.
- Techniques for skimming and scanning.
- Analyzing question types: multiple choice, sentence completion, matching headings, etc.
- Developing the ability to identify main ideas and supporting details.
Module 4: Writing Skills
Overview of the writing tasks:
- Task 1: Describing graphs, charts, or data (Academic) or writing a letter (General).
- Task 2: Writing an analytical or opinion essay.
- Planning and organizing ideas before writing.
- Using appropriate academic vocabulary and sentence structures.
- Applying grammar and spelling rules accurately.
Module 5: Speaking Skills
- Overview of the three parts of the Speaking test (Interview – Individual Talk – Discussion).
- Improving fluency, pronunciation, and coherence.
- Strategies for confident and well-structured responses.
- Simulated speaking practice with immediate feedback and correction.
Module 6: Practical Application and Mock Tests
- Comprehensive practice through mock IELTS tests.
- Individual performance analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Personalized improvement plan to achieve the target band score.
